Weston Title and Escrow Celebrates Real Estate

Weston Title and Escrow hosted a wine and cheese party for local real estate professionals celebrating Weston’s recent winning of best housing market in the United States.

The median home value in the far western Fort Lauderdale suburb has climbed 15.1 percent to $280,000 since early 2009, according to a survey of the nation’s 1,000 largest cities by Zillow.com for Bloomberg Businessweek. Arlington, Mass. is No. 2, with its median home value rising 14.8 percent.

What are some of the factors local Weston real estate professionals attribute to this national win? Good schools, safe neighborhood.

The city has been home to such pro athletes as former White Sox player José Canseco and the Florida Marlins’ Hanley Ramirez, according to real estate news site blockshopper.com. From April 2008 to April 2011, the population grew about 5 percent, estimates the University of Florida Bureau of Economics & Business Research. In 2006 Businessweek.com ranked Weston one of “The Best Affordable Suburbs” in the U.S.

Oppenheim Law and Weston Title raise the glass and say cheers to Weston, our hometown.
